WINEMAKING NOTES
Fruit from the Swinney vineyard in the Frankland Region was used to craft this robust, full-bodied wine. It was pressed and fermented in open top fermenters, was plunged twice daily and then allowed to mature in seasoned oak for eight months. The wine was blended in November and bottled in December 2023.
TASTING NOTES
Brooding undertones of blackcurrant, blackberry, liquorice and brown spices merge with rich, dark chocolate and black fruit aromas in this full-bodied wine that reveals itself in layers of dark chocolate, concentrated black fruits and liquorice on the palate. This full-bodied wine masterfully delivers rich, velvety layers of dark chocolate and black fruits, with liquorice and complex, concentrated blackcurrant characters. The robust finish softens into a lingering sprinkle of chalky, fine tannins.
PAIR WITH
Spicy chorizo and potato Spanish tapas.
