Cooler conditions compared to previous vintage saw harvest get underway in the Geographe at the end of January, with yields for 2022 similar to the 2021 Vintage. This resulted in optimum fruit ripeness of excellent quality from well-managed blocks.

WINEMAKING NOTES
Whole berry, hand plunged, co-fermented field blend in old seasoned oak for 3 month.
Bottled early to retain freshness.
TASTING NOTES
This a Montepulciano dominate blend at 38%, Mencia 24%, Nero d'Avola 7% coming from an experimental block in the Swan Valley, and Barbera 16% Grenache 10% sourced from the Geographe region, these varietals adding acidity and aromatics, lastly 5% of Arinto. Aged in old Seasoned Oak for 3 months. Generous and supple aromas, floral, chocolate on the nose. Subtle tannins, with a fine lingering acidity, raspberry, plum, and cherry on the palate.
