Estate Cabernet Malbec 2023
Estate Cabernet Malbec 2023
TASTING NOTES
Herbacious wafts of bayleaf and cedar, enriched with sweet tones of blackcurrent and small red berries expected on the nose. This medium-bodied wine has delightful cassis characters interwoven with stunning black and blue fruit characters with a subtle hint of nutmeg.
WINEMAKING NOTES
The wine was produced in open-top fermenters and was hand-plunged twice daily for 14 days. It was then pressed into a blend of new and old seasoned oak barriques, where it underwent malolactic fermentation. The wine was rested in the barrels for 12 months and was bottled in November.
VINTAGE
Across Western Australia, the 2023 vintage provided the perfect growing conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, producing fruit of excellent quality and intensity.
